Threshold, Francesco Vullo

LATERA the art farm

Francesco Vullo's work for Latera takes the form of a dynamic threshold, inspired by the flow of water and the small customs of the village: the anti-insect curtains adorning the doors of houses, symbols of daily life and protection.

A stainless steel structure supports thin cables from which about 5,000 sodalite stones are suspended, evoking the image of a mineral waterfall. The solidity of the stone is thus transformed into movement and lightness — a suspended flow echoing the vitality of water itself.

To cross this weave is to pass through a threshold where natural and artificial, intimate and monumental, intertwine, offering a sensory experience that unites landscape and collective memory in a single poetic gesture.
