The project was done with one priority objective in mind: to revive the village of Latera, especially its social component.
To this end, significant interventions have been planned, built into a public-private partnership which has already been signed and which will directly benefit the social fabric of the village. The most important interventions can be divided into three categories: interventions to upgrade the image of the village, interventions to animate the village during the project and interventions to repopulate the village in the medium/long term.
The first area includes actions that will give an image back to the village and communicate this image to the outside world. The second area includes actions that will animate the village with artists and artisans from the beginning to the end of the project (three years). The third area includes actions that will attract private investment to start up an Albergo Diffuso, bar and restaurant. The combination of all these actions will give rise to the most ambitious project, which is to establish a school in the village.
During the period of the artists’ "visit" to the village, a path will be set in motion for children, young people and families to recover their identity and connection with the village, through the experience and sharing of the redevelopment project that the artists will carry out.
At the same time, all cultural and digital interventions will be aimed at making the borough accessible for the visually impaired, deaf and elderly and innovative fire forecasting, cardio protection systems and air quality assessment tools will be implemented.
Design and art will be the tools of change through proposals and realizations that find effective solutions for special needs. The various artistic experiences will overcome limits related to linguistic fragmentation and bring out the identifying and identity signs using the logic of inclusiveness and accessibility to information.
