The Flowers, Elisa Capdevila

LATERA the art farm

Elisa Capdevila's mural, entitled *The Flowers*, was inspired by observing the nature surrounding Latera.

During her residency, she found the village immersed in the flowering of chestnut trees — majestic trees that carry within them the promise of fruit. This image became a metaphor for the community: just as the flower already holds the seed of what it may become, so Latera carries within itself the potential to regenerate and bloom again. Alongside the flower, Elisa Capdevila chose to paint the portrait of a local child, symbol of new energy and future.

In the dialogue between nature and childhood, the work celebrates the beauty of the place and its people, reminding us that every community, even the smallest and quietest, holds within itself theseeds of a radiant transformation.
