Contamination, Emeid

LATERA the art farm

Emeid's work was inspired by listening to the stories connected to the Museo della Terra of Latera, a place that gathers tools of labor and objects from the past, bearing witness to the social and cultural transformations of the village.

What struck the artist was precisely this bond between memory and community, between what has been and what can still be passed on. In the image, a hand extends a circle to the community: a simple gesture that becomes a symbol of sharing and belonging.

That circle represents the Museum itself, understood not only as an exhibition space, but as a nucleus of memories and stories uniting people. The hands of the community, which receive the circle, are "positively contaminated" by memory, transforming it into a living and shared experience.

The work thus underlines that history does not belong solely to the past, but becomes a thread linking generations, reinforcing the sense of identity and unity of an entire village.
